AI agents are becoming the invisible workforce of the enterprise, making decisions, triggering workflows, and integrating across systems. Yet many organisations are discovering that these autonomous actors create as much risk as they do value. Hidden activities, limited transparency, and diffuse accountability can quietly erode trust and compliance.
Transparent data lineage is a cornerstone. This session shows how a German bank uses automated metadata and lineage capabilities to trace data flows from source to target – creating full transparency, strengthening data quality, and unlocking additional value such as improved BCM readiness and more efficient change management. By making data flows visible and understandable, metadata becomes a strategic enabler for controlled and scalable AI adoption.

Attendees will gain insight into: • How sovereign cloud strategies evolve when AI becomes part of the operational control layer • Why transparency and compliance must be automated – not audited after the fact • How enterprises can balance autonomy, performance, and regulatory alignment across complex multi-provider ecosystems • What organisational and governance shifts are required to operate AI-driven cloud environments responsibly
This keynote explores what 'intelligent sovereignty' truly means in practice. As Generative AI becomes integrated into multi-cloud environments, operational data transforms from a support function into strategic control capital. Ticketless operations are not simply about efficiency; they represent a structural evolution in accountability, governance, and trust.
Cloud operations are undergoing a fundamental shift. In Europe's regulated and sovereignty-driven landscape, traditional ticket-based managed services are no longer sufficient. Enterprises are moving from reactive cloud management to AI-native operating models where automation, transparency, and compliance are embedded by design.

AI is everywhere today from predictions and image generation to speech recognition and physical AI. Yet while experimentation is booming, most companies struggle to turn pilots into real business value. In fact, the majority of generative AI initiatives never make it to enterprise scale, often due to missing data foundations, unclear use cases, and a lack of operational integration. In this session, we’ll explore what it really takes to move from AI hype to measurable impact. You’ll learn why strong data preparation, trusted data spaces, and connected ecosystems are essential for scalable AI, and how combining high-quality data with practical AI applications drives productivity, efficiency, and smarter decision-making.
As organisations race to adopt AI and advanced analytics, many discover that success depends less on algorithms and more on the structure and quality of their data. At the heart of a resilient data strategy lies data modeling—the discipline that transforms fragmented raw data into trusted, reusable, and AI-ready assets. This session explores the critical role of data modeling within modern medallion architectures (Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers), showing how thoughtful modeling practices progressively refine raw data into governed, business-aligned information products. Attendees will learn how effective models in the Silver and Gold layers create a consistent semantic foundation that supports analytics, operational reporting, and emerging AI use cases. We will also examine how strong data models enable organisations to scale AI and machine learning initiatives, ensuring models are trained on well-defined, trustworthy data rather than inconsistent or poorly understood datasets. By aligning medallion architecture with robust conceptual, logical, and semantic models, organisations can reduce complexity, improve data trust, and accelerate the delivery of AI-powered insights. Join this session to discover why data modeling is not a legacy discipline, but a strategic capability essential for modern data platforms and AI-driven enterprises."

Transformational AI goes far beyond isolated use cases or productivity gains. It reshapes how organisations create value, make decisions, and operate at scale. This presentation distinguishes between singular, often tactical AI applications and true transformational AI, which requires coordinated change across strategy, skills, processes, technology, and culture. It outlines the capabilities organisations must develop to embed AI into their business model, including leadership alignment, data and platform readiness, AI literate teams, governance, and a focus on measurable business outcomes. A pragmatic transformation process is introduced to help organisations move from experimentation to sustainable impact, ensuring AI initiatives are scalable, secure, and economically viable. Using PRODYNA as a concrete example, the presentation illustrates how these principles are applied in practice, highlighting changes already implemented and those currently underway. By reflecting on our own transformation journey, we provide practical insights into how AI can be responsibly and effectively integrated into the core of the business to ensure long term relevance, competitiveness, and sustainable value creation.

Quantum computers threaten to break the cryptography our digital systems depend on, creating a risk that is unacceptable for many organisations. As a result, authorities plan to obsolete RSA in 2035 and are urging earlier introduction of quantum-resistant protections. This will be a huge disruption for some systems. The complexity of the threat and the potential immense impact mean security leaders cannot avoid navigating this issue. This session will pragmatically digest the essentials. What is the real risk? Is this a risk to be concerned about now? What do organisations need to do now? How do you use established risk processes? How do you protect critical data and assets? Drawing on the latest guidance from authorities in the EU, we’ll present actionable steps for leaders to ensure resilience and compliance in the face of quantum-driven risk.

Walk away knowing that your BI platform isn't becoming legacy but it's becoming the enabler for AI in your organisation. Vibe coding and generative AI let anyone prompt a dashboard into existence, but without trusted pipelines, lineage, and explainability, the result is a facade on a shaky foundation. As AI democratises the last mile to the business user, more democracy in data consumption demands more responsibility and transparency in data provisioning. Your platform's foundation has never mattered more.
Two data worlds, two governance models, and often two distinct camps within the same organisation. The technical integration of SAP BDC and open data platforms is a solvable problem. What truly stalls projects is the organisational reality beneath the surface: Who owns what? Who controls access? And whose rules apply when the SAP world meets the open stack? INFORM DataLab shares honest lessons from the field, including the conflicts that no architecture diagram will ever capture. "

AI applications are increasing power density in data centres, while modern IT components are designed to withstand ever higher ambient temperatures. This presentation will examine the influence of varying temperature levels and approach temperatures, as well as the challenge of maintaining all defined operating conditions under full and partial load. For centralised cooling, a solution with free-cooling chillers containing oil-free centrifugal compressors will be considered. The thermodynamic design of cooling components is becoming increasingly complex, as centralised chillers supply Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs), Computer Room Air Conditioners (CRAHs), and Fan-Wall Units (FWUs). Maintaining consistent system temperatures across all these systems is crucial to maximising free cooling utilisation and, therefore, overall efficiency.

Your AI model is only as smart as the data it trusts. And right now, it trusts too much. Schema drift, undocumented semantics, unclear ownership – these are the silent killers of production AI. Data Contracts are the fix the industry has been slow to adopt. Contract-First development is not a data governance exercise – it is a prerequisite for intelligent, reliable AI systems. This talk explores a feedback loop in both directions: Data Contracts stabilize and contextualize AI pipelines; AI, in return, makes contracts smarter by detecting anomalies and evolving semantics automatically. Attendees leave with a new mental model and a concrete architectural principle to take back to their teams.

The industry is demanding gigawatts while ignoring the elephant in the server room: facilities running at a third of capacity, servers averaging 12-18% utilization, and millions of machines consuming power in perpetual idle. Before we build the next power plant, we need to measure where energy actually goes. Not just at the meter, but inside the IT infrastructure where most waste occurs. This keynote makes the case that operators who understand their energy flows today will have a decisive competitive advantage tomorrow; while others wait for grid capacity that may never come.

Quantum computers risk completely undermining the security of our digital systems and data. In this interactive cyber exercise we shall explore the impact of a quantum computer attack and how to defend against it. Will you choose to role-play defending your organisation, or will you role-play a quantum computer attacker? The scenario of an attacker obtaining a quantum computer on a not unrealistic future date shall be set out. The ways that technology and systems are at risk will be reviewed. Then you'll invited to define your actions as an attacker or defender. We shall roll the clock forward as we play and see what unfolds. The aim is to help you think about how your organisation is preparing for the quantum threat, and start thinking about protections you should put in-place over the next few years and how to prioritise the most critical areas. The exercise may also be fun!

Becoming an “Agentic Company” doesn’t start with models – it starts with data, ownership and mindset. In this session, we share insights from a manufacturing client that set out to transform distributed ERP systems, machine sensor data and hybrid on-prem/cloud infrastructures into a unified Data & AI platform on Azure. We discuss how production data, governance structures and platform architecture had to evolve together to enable AI agents for predictive maintenance, software engineering support and data-driven decision processes. The project shows that Agentic AI rarely fails because of technology. It fails when responsibilities are unclear, data lacks semantic consistency and organisations treat AI as a tool instead of a transformation. A real-world perspective on how industrial companies can move from fragmented data landscapes and static dashboards toward trusted, dialog-driven AI systems that integrate people, platforms and processes.

This session reframes the problem from 'prevent every failure' to 'ensure AI-enabled services fail safely'. You'll get a practical, operations-first blueprint for AI resilience: how to design fallback modes (human-in-the-loop, rule-based degradation, feature kill switches), how to define AI-specific incident triggers and escalation criteria, and how to test readiness through scenario-based exercises that integrate security, SRE and business owners. The goal is simple: keep critical services trustworthy and available, even when the AI layer becomes unreliable. Attendees leave with a concrete checklist to operationalise resilience across the AI lifecycle – without duplicating governance work or creating control theatre.
Enterprises are moving fast on AI governance and AI security controls. In production, however, controls can fail, drift or be bypassed, and AI dependencies can degrade (throttling, provider outages, model drift and pipeline failures).

You’ll see how a governed semantic layer enables AI agents to: • Ground decisions in trusted, business-defined logic • Prevent hallucinations and ensure traceability • Apply policy-aware guardrails and automated quality gates • Embed secure, multitenant AI directly into enterprise workflows
In regulated industries, every decision must be traceable, every action must be defensible, and every system must meet strict standards for security and control. So, how do you introduce agentic AI into that environment without increasing risk?
Agentic AI systems can detect anomalies, investigate root causes, and trigger next-best actions in real time. But in regulated sectors, that intelligence has to be grounded in business context, secure by design, and fully auditable.

AI agents are no longer experimental. They browse the web, execute code, and take actions across enterprise systems with minimal human oversight. That creates threats traditional security models don't cover. This session walks through the ones that matter: prompt injection, goal manipulation, tool misuse, and what happens when an agent starts acting on its own. We use the OWASP Agentic AI Threats and Mitigations as the framework and show where the EU AI Act and the Cyber Resilience Act apply. You'll know what goes wrong when AI acts independently and which controls actually matter. The workshop that follows lets you attack these systems hands-on.

Modern data centres are increasingly defined by one challenge: removing heat. Yet the industry still designs cooling systems around a rack architecture that was originally created for low-density, air-cooled IT equipment. Other industries solved similar problems differently. In shipbuilding, for example, fluid systems and reliability requirements define the infrastructure first, and the equipment adapts to it. This session explores why data centres may need to reverse their design logic as well starting with cooling architecture and allowing compute infrastructure to evolve around it.

Apache Iceberg forms the core data layer, bridging streaming ingest and analytical access. Filtered machine signals (~5k/min/tenant) are enriched with critical context from external systems such as shifts, asset management or fault and measures management (~400/min/tenant). A key challenge was that this contextual data could change retroactively, requiring historical aggregations to be corrected. Iceberg’s ACID semantics enabled efficient updates and recomputation while keeping a consistent business view.
Together with our client from the German automotive industry, we at ZEISS built a fully serverless, event-driven SaaS platform on AWS to deliver standardised production KPIs across a global manufacturing landscape of ~120 factories. From the outset, the system was designed to scale per tenant while providing near real-time reporting, with aggregations available within seconds of machine events.
We will share the architectural trade-offs and lessons learned from building this system end to end, including what worked and what did not. Delivered jointly by a solution architect and a requirements engineer/business analyst, the talk connects business constraints with practical Iceberg design decisions.

GenAI adoption is easy to start but hard to scale without fragmentation, duplicated solutions, and slow approvals. In a complex and highly regulated environment like aviation, teams need a scalable approach that balances speed with security, compliance, and reliability. In this session, Luca Wiesmaier and Ömer Adigüzel share practical lessons from rolling out enterprise GenAI capabilities at Deutsche Lufthansa AG: how to promote reusability, shorten time-to-market, and keep solutions compliant. You'll learn how 'safe GenAI' patterns (from controlled model access to 'chat with your own data') can be industrialised through shared standards, templates, and enablement – so teams deliver real value at scale, not just isolated demos.

Modern data platforms solved access. They didn't solve understanding. Teams still fight inconsistent metrics, duplicated logic, and data nobody trusts. The culprit? The semantic layer was quietly dropped from the modern stack — and it broke everything. This talk makes the case for bringing it back: open, reusable, and built into the core of your data platform. Because autonomy without shared meaning is just noise.
After the impulse session has set the stage, this panel shifts the lens to the C-suite. Sovereign, scalable innovation is now a board-level priority – but many initiatives stall between strategic intent and real adoption. This discussion brings together senior executives to explore how trust, clarity, and communication influence whether innovation is understood, accepted, and ultimately deployed at scale. Moderated by Sarah Yvonne Elsser, the panel examines how leaders translate complex technology, regulation, and sovereignty goals into shared direction, cultural alignment, and measurable outcomes across their organisations and ecosystems.

As organisations invest heavily in data platforms and AI, many still struggle to translate data into measurable business outcomes. The key is not more data – it’s better data products. This session explores a practical framework for designing data products that deliver real value by focusing on four essential pillars. First, every data product must begin with clear business intent, ensuring that development is driven by specific decisions, outcomes, and measurable impact. Second, data products must be grounded in enterprise truth, aligning with trusted, governed sources so teams operate from a shared understanding of critical data. Third, organisations must prioritise reuse before create, enabling teams to discover and build upon existing data assets rather than duplicating effort and introducing inconsistency. Finally, effective data products are governed by design, embedding policies, quality, and lineage directly into the product lifecycle rather than retrofitting governance after the fact. Through real-world examples and practical guidance, this session will show how these four pillars enable organisations to deliver scalable, trusted, and reusable data products that accelerate analytics, AI, and decision-making across the enterprise.

As data centre capacity continues to expand across Europe, the industry faces increasing pressure to demonstrate measurable climate impact, resource efficiency, and local value creation. Waste heat reuse has emerged as one of the most promising – yet structurally complex – levers to turn energy consumption into a shared economic and environmental asset. This panel brings together key stakeholders from municipal leadership, energy utilities, and data centre operators to explore how heat reuse can evolve from a technical afterthought into a bankable infrastructure partnership model. At the core of the discussion lies a fundamental question: Who owns the economics of heat reuse – the operator, the municipality or the energy provider? Panellists will examine how responsibilities, risks and revenues can be fairly distributed, and what governance models enable long-term viability. Building on real-world projects and urban development examples, the session will address: • How to structure contracts and cross-sector partnerships that create durable ESG value rather than short-term compliance wins • The investment case for integrating heat reuse into early-stage site planning and district development • The role of utilities in aggregating, distributing and commercialising low-grade heat • Whether digitalisation and AI-driven forecasting can improve predictability of heat output and enable more efficient grid integration The discussion will focus on practical implementation pathways, regulatory barriers, and replicable business models. Rather than treating waste heat as a by-product, this session reframes it as a strategic interface between digital infrastructure and urban energy systems – and as a potential revenue stream that aligns climate responsibility with investment logic.

Kubernetes-as-a-Service kaufen und los geht's? Nein.

Enterprise process optimisation increasingly relies on artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance efficiency, reduce operational costs, and improve decision-making. However, the widespread adoption of AI in enterprise environments is constrained by the ‘black-box’ nature of many high-performing models, which lack transparency and interpretability. We investigate whether AI agents and agentic reasoning can address the black-box problem in enterprise process optimisation.

As development teams improve AI coding, the bottleneck for most enterprise engineering teams at scale is shifting to operations. Leading engineering teams are reshaping teams and tools around the advantages that AI represents. Most teams are seeing incidents and operational burn-out on the rise, and lagging teams are not yet seeing any AI impact yet. This difficult middle state - where coding gets dramatically more efficient but it is surrounded by legacy operational practices - has been a challenging one for teams across the industry. This talk will discuss some of the techniques we are seeing leading enterprise teams use at scale to move through that difficult middle state quickly and emerge on the other side with some of the most efficient “software factories” in the industry.
